My wife and I bought a SANYO DVD burner for out TV last year and Im wondering if any of you have a DVD burner for your TV??? Im having a problem with ours burning movies finalizing them and then not being able to read them I have only tried pay preveiw movies fromn our direct tv dish rent and record kinda thing they use to work but then here and there they wouldnt. Do you think that they are coding these say they cant be replayed if burned??? Is this possible ??? if anyone else has this problem please respond this is making me lose my mind
seriously p!$$!ng me off I will try burning a regular program and seee if that works in the meantime. I am just tryin to figure out if this exspensive piece of equipment is really just a piece of $_!+ and is not working properly

So you dont think its possible for them to be coded through the Direct tv sat lite??
hello tony, did you check to see if yours is a - or + recorder, example if you have a + then you need + plus dvd disc to record correctly .and if - then - dvd disc for that one , then when you finalize it then it will play in both - and +. i burn directv all the the time with no problems hope this helps.

Good question T.V. , I was surely waiting for answers on this one. I burn rented videos maybe 6 times a month , but not on a DVD burner for the TV set , I've yet to buy one of those yet even though I've seen the drop down in price to about 100 bucks on a few different models. I do burn 1st rate video block busters that come out weekly at my local video store. When you were talking about decoding I surely knew what you were talking about , I use many programs on my PC just for that , DVD Shrink / DVD Decryter / DVD Fab / Clone DVD2 / ANY DVD/ Ect, ect. ect. as time goes by the codes seem to get harder to decode but then some snot nose kid comes up with a way to decode those as time goes by. So I was also thinking about what you seem to be going through with your T.V set DVD recorder ??? coming through your pay-per view cable or sat light connection ??? So what these other guys are saying is that you don't need decoding programs like in the PC to decode something like a pay-per view movie ??? I find that very interesting when those too have hacker codes on them as well and a simple TV type DVD player/recorder would still be able to decode and record them ??? I had the same problem years ago when it came to 1st rate Video Cassettes rented , my top of the line VCR could not crack the codes on them to be able to record them ??? so IM kind of thinking why it would be any different with a DVD recorder ??? ........So if IM understanding correctly here ??? it's all in the recording disc's that you use ??? Hmmmmmm

Yes it is a no no as with radios and everything else inlife thats cool. I use a pc dvd also with some of those programs but this tv one worked ok at first but i recorded chris angel mindfreak lastnight and it worked so im tryin to record krippendors tribe and im gonna see what happens with that later i tried a few different things so i eill see if that works??

ok now this thing has my blood boiling
that movie didnt work either!!!! It goes through finalizing then when i go to playback it says no disc :x

God Bless you Linearone for opening my eye's to this travisty !!
