If that much oil came out of it, perhaps baking it with RF is not a good plan.  The oil, being that hot, might work on the binder more and/or turn to carbon inside the resistor.  Without the oil to keep it cool, the remaining oil could be a problem.


You said the SWR is 1.5.  Out of curiosity, which way did the resistance go?  Up might suggest binder degradation, down might suggest carbon deposition. 


IIRC, i think the manual said it could be cleaned with water.  If that much oil is present, maybe a couple rounds with water and gentle baking will help steam distill the remaining oil out. 


At the end of the day, 1.5 SWR Is still very usable.  Maybe its better to simply leave it alone.
