Can anyone send me a link or something with a diagram or something that can show me which of the set screws to turn to set the deadkey on a Connex 3300HP and the proper procedure if I might need to know anything special....Thanks...

refer to cb tricks, they should have a pc of the pot placement, if they dont refer to a galaxy66 or so and it will be the same

VR13 = high power deadkey
VR16 = low power deadkey

You'll need a wattmeter and a plastic tuning tool. If you use a metal jewelers screwdriver, be very careful. It's not recommended. I assume you are trying to lower the deadkey to match it to an amp? If so, then you only need to adjust VR16.

Set your radio to low power, then, while keying your mic, adjust VR16 until you get the desired reading on the wattmeter. Do not use the built-in meter...you need an external wattmeter.
OK thanks King Mudduck...Just what I was looking for and you are right about setting it for an amp....I have a Workman 5000 meter and it is right on the money from what I saw at the radio shop where I bought it ( at least on the lower power setting )....I don't have a plastic screwdriver but maybe I can unplug the radio,set it,plug it up and check it,and over again till I get it right,what you think?....
