How do you carry a bunch of FireStik type of antennas in a short truck?

Here is the answer if you have a roof rack on a car or truck.

I have the HamStick type of antenna from 80 meters to two meters. Tune up your antennas and you won't need an antenna tuner in the field and waste time fiddling with it. Put on your tuned stick and you are ready to go.

That is what I did when we took my SUV on vacation several years ago. It had a roof rack and I used black ABS pipe with an end cap glued on one end and a screw on cap on the other. I used one stainless hose clamp around the pipe and another under it to go around the roof rack cross member at 90 degrees to it. I anchored it to both the front and rear cross members this way and was even able to mount the roof top luggage carrier on the rack as well.

If you can get two top parts of a fishing rod rack, those will work,.too.

Yours is great for stealth and more secure.

And it keeps them clean and dry too. I can carry up to nine antennas with no worries of breakage or knocking them out of tune. The antennas that I carry are between five to six feet with the stinger reach eight feet total length. I never realized how good those ham stick antennas worked. Sunday afternoon I hit a bunch of stations on twenty and forty meters and got excellent reports only running sixty watts out of my IC-7100.
