How do you store your electronic parts?

Just curious how the rest of you store your new and used electronic parts? Not everyone can afford the commercial-made ESD containers and materials so I'm wondering what kind of home-brew systems you've had success with?

Generally I leave the new parts inside the bags they were sent in and I try and re-use the bags that other electronic parts and pieces come in (like a PC motherboard for example). I never toss those bags. I have some used parts stored in plastic parts bins I picked up from Harbor Freight long ago. I highly doubt they are ESD safe, but so far nothing has been zapped.

So.. what do you use? An old tackle box? Ammo can? Paper bag? Coffee can? Wife's Tupperware?

Bought a couple of those plastic 60 drawer "storage organizers" from Ace hardware. Looks like I'm gong to have to get one or two more. Too bad the price on them has gone up $20 in the last year. Static sensitive parts I keep in the bag and shove the bag in one of the compartments.

I need to do some sorting, but that's where I keep the parts that didn't get put away. Right now it is supposed to be one for resistors, one for capacitors and so on. My new parts go in pill bottles because my better half has a lifetime supply of them coming in. I have a whole desk drawer of pill bottles filled with parts.

We get a lot of parts at work in anti-static bags and bubble pouches so I bring them home. But mostly I just use the bag/pouch the components I buy come in, as the count decreases, I move them into smaller bags.

lots of sherbert plastic cans.i label the tubs.put componets in the tubs.eat same brand,the plastic tubs will stack up

I use these boxes. They stack nice on my shelves and you can write on them easy. Staples and Amazon has them in 25 and 50 packs.

Here are some of my parts and pieces. When I was feeling rich I would buy the expensive containers but mostly I have recycled plastic and swap shop storage stuff.
