How many times have you been frustrated.....

To bad it doesn't have ssb, I run Phillips prm8030 remote head UHF radio in the mobile. I got the ic706iig for its remote head option but was most un impressed by its performance in the concrete jungle. There needs to be more remote head optioned radios available. I wish the yeticom optima was remote head. That would be a dream cb setup

The Europeans have always been ahead of North America in most things. Cell phones, internet speed and access, communications equipment, vehicle fuel economy versus horsepower, horsepower versus displacement etc all come to mind. It is good to see some strides in addressing the mounting issues. It would be nice to see some more of that in amateur radios which seem to have stalemated with the simple idea of a detachable faceplate rather than the idea in the first example.

Kinda funny how the Japanese and Chinese have taken over the Amateur radio market and the Europeans are content to leave it at that but obama can't copy what the Great Europeans have mastered.

I would like to see A SSB Model ( as Northstar has said) with the features as well, and in reply to your post, I said Mulit mode....not All mode.
AM and FM as opposed to only FM.
