How to get your beam out of the tree branches.

While putting up a dipole on the tallest tree on the land we had a sling shot and an extension ladder, and an extension saw about 15 foot long. It never fails there is always a branch out of reach so we took the M-16 and "ELIMINATED" the branch. While my friend and I were shooting the branch he said "I think we should video tape this and send it to QST magazine, I said it would be better for Hamsexy <img src=http://home.comcast.net/~shockwav/smiley_346.gif ALT=":-99">

Well dont fool yourself, those little 22s will carry over a mile.

I wonder where all the stray shots landed. NEWS at 11

We did this on 30 acres of land surrounded by over 250 acres of state park then a HUGE cooling lake for the nuclear station which is about 3 miles away

Well I finally got my tribander repaired after the storm about six weeks ago.All went well and I put the driver element together and took it up the tower. It was about 12 degrees F with a breeze, just enough to make it hard to thread nuts on with bare fingers.I finished the job and came down to test it out.SWR was as it was before and I started to swing it around tro the SW.It froze at due north and would not go any further. It would back up to the east but would not go past north.I looked out the window and saw that the reflector element was snagged by a broken branch that had fallen from higher up in the 60+ foot oak trees around the tower.I could not reach it from the tower even with a pruning pole.I tried to throw a line up and hook it but all that succeeded was throwing my back out.I should have known better as it has been bothering me alot lately.I tried to find my high powered sling shot but it was not to be found anywhere. Then I decided to take the redneck approach. My wife had a cautious look when I asked her where the keys were to my ammo case.I took the .22 and two clips with hollow points out to the back yard and shot the damned branches off that were snagging the antenna. Now I can shoot DX in another way.
