This one was my bad. While reassembling my 2510, I accidently connected the leads (purple gray and white) that were supposed to connect to the socket of J307 into the socket of J301 and the leads that supposed to go into the socket J301 (red brown and orange) were connected into the socket J307. I fired up the radio and i smelt that "burn" smell. The radio still transmits and receives good but the display meter shows the freqs but some functions dont work.

Where should I start to look for these burned parts so i can replace em? If I cant fix this radio, its going in the trash.

Thanks for the help in advance.

So I have a cobra 138xlr and the meter dose not work... It dose not key up and signal dose not work.... It is not stuck it the meter moves freely. now wires are resoldered on both ends...So now that do I look at. Could it be a diode or a transistor?
