Hurricane Sandy 2012 -- Nassau Bahamas

sandy crossed to the east of us at cat 2, the eye was about 30 miles east of the eastern tip of where i am on the island, it was not nearly as bad as many other storms, but still quite discrtufull. two days ago i was mad i had to strip my 3 towers for such a small storm, well im glad i did it, as it devolped much beyond the tropical storm they predicted.

also after the power went out last night i started my 10kw gas generator, i had welded a scooter muffler on it to quiet her down, not realising the wind blew the door closed on the muffle, the generator house caught on fire, nothing the hose and slamming the door off with sledge hammer didnt fix (in an effort to stop the spread)

Me starting my preparations earlier this week

Still did some damage for a "Small" Storm.

Supposedly there is a good chance it will hit us
(Ny/NJ Metro area )

Possibly with the same or more intensity then it hit Your area.
The Biggest Danger in my area..
Is How it hits (and so far it is Projected to hit us in the worst manor)

Where as it hits us it will Funnel storm surges up the river
and if it maintains a cat 1 (even is close to cat 1 ) or higher

Well Not good..
Our area is NOT typically as Savvy or ready for such storms.
Plus it is another system from out West that will likely
Force this storm to hit us as they suspect it will

Hopefully either Sandy dies down a lot
and or the storm from the west dies down or moves through
before sandy gets to us ( which neither at this point seems likely )

So charging up everything..
Cause you just never know
