I imagine most may already have a way that works for them but I am just thinking of newer folks trying to build up some test equipment on a budget.

This might help some on their benches with setting driver/final bias.  Surely you can do it with a DMM but some might consider this to be convenient.


I just received what you see below.   A 100 mA DC ammeter WITH the appropriate plastic case ($9.95) and a set of clip leads ($4.50).

    

These are from a website called "Electronix Express" and I believe that they are in New Jersey.   Took slightly less than a week to      get down here to Deer Park, TX.

  

The only thing I might say about the meter is that it is AWFULLY      light in weight... but it IS just a meter movement and a light      plastic case.  I am thinking of removing the thin bottom plate      (plastic!) and fashioning a more substantial piece of pine and      painting it black to give it a little more "heft".
