I Think I made a huge mistake

I wanted to get my radio tuned up it was bleeding real bad and some one before me had did something cause you could not adjust the modulation so I looked to send it out to be repaired and thought i found a great guy to send it too we talked and his website is pretty informative and he convinced me he was top choice

I sent him the radio Galaxy 94hp, cord ,mic, check, and did not hear from him for 3 weeks (7-10 day turn he said)after I tried a few times to reach him email and phone I got WORRIED so I started searching what I guess i should have did in the 1st place and found this.

so the fourth week I called him and of course left a message telling what i had learned and how heart broke i was and how I did not want to lose my radio and cash.........He calls back to tell me he had solved these disputes and he was waiting on amc parts for my radio like 10 parts missing he said(would it work without that many?)

So now starting the 6th week and still no word from him no returned message emails or phone calls.

Does any body know of this happening to them by( Jack Thurston)292radioshop) or what to do about it???????
I'm feel like I'm getting robbed right in front of me and I have been completely nice so far and understanding but i am at my wits end I have not slept 4hrs a night the past 4 days with this running through my head.

Can any one help??????????????????

granted, these are all about the same transaction, but its good reading anyway. LOL

Jack was banned from here a while ago, and since i dont know it for a fact, i cant say why.

i will say that he is a pretty smart radio tech, a bit of an a-hole, but he really does know his stuff.

so, will he fix your radio and send it to you? maybe, maybe not.
if he does fix it, he will fix it right and you probably wont want to let anyone inside it afterward.

if it were me, i would just call him every day, and say "hey jack, just checking to see if you've sent my radio out yet."
then, if he stops answering the phone or doesnt call you back; you'll have to threaten legal action.

sorry to hear about your situation, his name is a sore subject for some around here.

the irony being that despite how bad the work these people he blacklisted did, at least they returned the radios to the owner.

its so sad he does busines in this way because the guy is obviously a very clever radio person, but as lc says a complete a-hole in every other respect.

i'd be doing my best to find out where he is (someone must know) and be paying him a visit, i certainly wouldn't be arsed with taking the legal path which could stretch out a long time. nothing a baseball bat wouldn't fix quickly. i suppose in the uk we have it easy,being a small country even the south of england is within a few hours travelling, i know if anyone ripped me off for a radio they'd be getting the visit from hell irrespective of where they are.
