Does anyone know on the ICOM 706 and the ICOM 706 MK11 if the ICOM company makes or carriers parts for these radios anymore, I have heard people say NO more, anyone know anything about this. The rigs seem to be popping up for sale more than usual and prices low, probably a hint that no more parts are made but do not know.
Does anyone

The 706 mkIIg can still be repaired by Icom in Michigan.

Providing they still have parts in stock. The Icom site advises contacting service centers before sending anything to make sure they are able to service it. There is no official support for the IC-706.

Yes i agree. When I called them about a checkup on my 706 i was told the parts are avaiable. How long this will last is the 64,000 question.

Charles Turner (Turner Radio) in Lancaster, CA still repairs them too. Over the years, Charles has repaired two of my old TS-440s, an AT440 tuner, and a IC-756PRO. One of my neighbors also had his IC-706MkIIG and a TS-940 repaired there. All are still working great.
