in my memory i have several HF and VHF UHF frequency's programmed, when running the scan at slow speeds is it damaging to the relay kicking on..? everytime it goes back to HF it ticks then ticks when it gets to vhf and uhf. just am worried running scanning is damaging to it? i also see i have VFO A and a VFO B but i dont know what to press to get to VFO B i would love to split it up HF on VFO B and VHF&UHF on VFO A:blush:

Since a relay is a mechanical switch it has a finite life. It will eventually wear out but that may take a million cycles so chances are you will be good for a long time. As for the VFO A/B selection I suggest you RTFM paying special attention to page 27. As for splitting HF and VHF up on the two VFO's you can only do that in VFO mode and has nothing to do with memories.

Back in the 90's my dad bought his first computer.

He would always yell at us for "clicking the mouse" to much because it will wear down the mouse :scared:

Lmao !!!!!!!!

That's okay well guess I can't split it up...

Ill just continue filling up the memory with a mixture of vhf and hf

Put them in two groups say with the first half of the memories on HF and the second half on VHF. That way the relay will only have to operate once per cycle instead of switching back and forth every few memory channels.

Hehe believe it or not only three of the first memory's
Are set for hf 20m 10m 10m. Two are skipped and 6m and vhf uhf. It sure is dissapointing that the vfo can't be separated per side :(
