Looks Roman. Possibly Spanish or Greek. I would look on ebay under these choices and see if you can find something similar. They have dug up tons of those ancient coins and I don't really think that many of the copper or bronze ones have much particular value. You could also try a local coin shop if there is any near you. At any rate, it COULD be valuable so I would go to all reasonable measures to find out. Good luck !

I figured out what it said around the edges (Rex Ano 1730) and googled it. It's a Spanish coin from 1730. Rex means King and Ano is "year" This is the "pillars" type coin. Based on what I've found so far, it was probably used around Central America. The real question is if it is real or a reproduction. Apparently there are a lot of reproductions out there, so you should post that pic on a coin forum to find out exactly what you have.

Maybe / maybe not. I saw that post, too. There are others that I found with the same / similar markings as yours. Find out for sure.

look at the cross on my picture .a piece has broke away from the base metal used for the coin .its some kind of base metal with a outer covering .might even had been gold colored at some point .
a magnet does not stick to it .

probably worthless,sold to tourists probably .

i cant even win on a scratch off ticket ,i surely wont have a rare spanish coin in my possession...lol...

I knew it was a fake because I watch "Pawn Stars". Sell it on eBay and say..."I am unable to verify authenticity at this time so this rare vintage coin is sold as-is".."use the Buy-it-now option and get free shipping". But, make sure to list it under the headings of Coins and Misc Ham Radio gear.
