I'm not positive (I don't think anyone is), but I think the AM audio CW signal on 5800Khz is related to the alleged Cuban spy numbers station on 5883Khz. Listen to 5883 around 11PM PST (daily) and you'll probably hear it: female voice announcing 5-digit number groups in Spanish in AM mode. The transmission always starts out with the voice repeating the word "Atencion!" in Spanish a few times. Usually lasts about half an hour.

I think the frequency of the AM/CW transmissions varies a little. I'm pretty sure I've heard them on 5810Khz a couple times. The 'Atencion!' voice station is sometimes crowded a bit by one of the bible-thumper broadcasters a few Khz away, but is usually very strong here in San Francisco.
