It's a long shot but figured I'd give it a try anyway.

I'm after the 2 pill amp section like ranger once used in the galaxy 95t/t2, connex 4600 turbo, ranger 2995dx 1st gen or other ranger models.

I want one as a possible replacement for my current 2995dxcf with the mosfets because the 2 pill section is so much more robust.

Again, I know it's a long shot but just maybe someone here has an old junker with that board. It doesn't matter if it has the knock off transistors because I have a set of original Toshibas that will land in there nicely.

Thanks in advance.

Somebody needs to come up with a solution for the wacky four-MOSFET amp board in those radios. One trick I'd like to find the time to try is to take two of the MRF101 48-Volt transistors and try a pair of them on that circuit board. Don't know what you'd get at 14 Volts, but at least those parts tolerate SWR without popping. Would have to reduce the radio's drive power in a big way. MOSFET parts designed to amplify RF tend to have a better power-gain factor than the IRF520/IRFZ44/FQP13N10 low-frequency parts.

Somebody, as in somebody else.

It's enclosed, so it might not be too bad. Besides you don't need it to receive. Question is, where will you come up with 140 (or so) Amps at 12 Volts to feed it? A single 50-Volt supply sounds simpler. More compact, at least.

Dave Eldorado,
I think I have one around here on the heat sink. I will have to dig through the "storage room-half the house and shed". I will get back to you.
Did you ever live in Phoenix and move furniture for a living?
I worked with a guy with the same name you posted.
