does anyone know if its worth a flip ? i know the MFJs' do a crap load of different stuff .
does this do more than just display FQ. , swr and impedance ?

That's all it says it does, so I'm not too sure I'd expect anything more. But then, that's all the early MFJ analyzers did too (the '239'? can't remember the number). Really, just means that the user has to do some more figuring rather than the meter doing it for him.
If you look at it like it only being half the price as the MFJ analyzer, you can buy a lot of 'Big Chief' tablets and No.2 pencils for over a $100 dollars and end up with about the same information! Means you gotta use that biological computer instead of an electrical one though. I remember doing that once! May also be why I spent that extra $$ on the MFJ thingy. Probably had something to do with sweat under all that hair... don't remember.

i couldnt really buy either on my budget . but the price caught my eye so i thought id ask . thought it may be of intrest to others (as well as being curious myself) if it was something worth while , but i do that fairly often......

thanks doc. ;)

The stuff it does is what a lot of people need to do most of the time, especially for doing basic installations. Seems like a fair price.
