I picked up a Comet CFX-324B Triplexer today and thought that there might be some interest of what these things look like inside. The ports on this triplexer are for 1.3-150Mhz, 200-320Mhz, and 390-500Mhz with more than 40dB of isolation between them. Power is rated at 600 watts PEP.

I also decided to do a simple attenuation test on 2 meters to show how quickly past 150Mhz the power output cuts off. I hooked up my HT with a fully charged battery to a meter and dummy load and ran some output tests. I've indicated the frequencies where I see the most dramatic change in attenuation:

146.52 - 4 watts
150.00 - slightly less than 4 watts
153.00 - 3 watts
155.00 - 2 watts
159.00 - 1 watt
168.00 - 0.5 watt
171.00 - very slight needle movement
173.00 - no output.

In case you're wondering what I'm using the triplexer for, it's going with my FTM-350. I have a 220Mhz 20 watt amp inline with a 220 J-Pole, so now I can crossband repeat on 2m, 440, and 220 Mhz. :tt2:

what amp did you end up using? I just purchased one of these radios and triplexer at a hamfest and would like to do the same set up that you did. thanks

A Mirage C22A that I found at a swap meet. I got it and a 220 J-Pole for $35. :thumbup1:
