re: kph vs. mph, I thought this was changing on a single track, but it may have been two separate tracks, or maybe I looked at it once at work and then later at home, and the display is set differently. I'll have to check it.

I am just using the stock duck with it sitting on the dash. I recall I have a couple NMO mag mounts and at least one VHF co-linear antenna to try.

So far, the device has met every reasonable expectation I've had. I've run it for about 8 hours off the initial charge and the last voltage report was 3.66V
