Iota Power Supplies

Need some info on these PS's. I did a search here and found some users but they were using the supply in combination with a battery. They come in varied Amp ratings. Are the amp ratings constant? Jim, CDX-44 wants to purchase one of these as a stand alone PS to power a TS-667V. I was thinking the 75 amp model should suit his needs, but want to make sure this is what he needs.

Jim says thanks for any info you folks can provide.

regards,

Wayne C.

I run 2 of the 55 amp models tied together to power a 1x4 without a battery. The voltage remains pretty constant and I am very hard pressed to get the fans on both of the power supplies to come on at the same time. I am very pleased with them.

And yes - the amp ratings are constant.

A 75 amp would probably be pushing it, but would probably work.

2 55 amps runs a 1x4 ts 667v just fine along with a fatboy 4 pill.

If he ever upgrades, I have direct experience running a 6 pill fatboy on 2 55 amp's and a single car battery, as that is the setup my dad is running right now. Set at 15 volts, it does 1500+ peak watts no prob.

If you were to pump it up to 16.25 volts, and get 2 8 volt batteries wired up together, you could probably see 1600-1700 with no probs.

These things are great.. and I usually sell them for $130 a piece, and you can often find them on ebay for $110-$120 a piece.. for the price you just can't beat it.
