Booty 10 meters is no less friendly than any other band, and there is a whole lot of room on ten for a guy to move over and do whatever.

The "ham cops" Are all listening for phone in the CW portion at the bottom of ten.....

If you have your Lic, you have just as much right to be there as they do!

I would rather spend my time Talking on ten than playing radio cop.

Also one of the benefits of ten meters is that most of the stuff built for 11meters/CB will work there also, antennas, mounts, ground planes, beams...and so on.

It is one of the cheapest bands to get on and work, there is plenty of equipment available used for a decent price to get on ten.

Propagation on ten is also a plus, when the band is open you do not need a lot to work it, just like CB, and much less traffic to deal with.

Don`t get me wrong, 6 meters is fun too, but 6 meter mono band rigs are much harder to come across than a 10 meter mono band rigs.

Most of the old stuff was AM.

It was a good deal when they changed the rules to allow entry level Hams to use Phone on Ten.

Tech will get you Voice on 28.300 to 28.500 and General gets you the whole Band, and it is big.

In over 15 years I have yet to hear unlicensed Operation on ten meters to date.......I think it is over inflated so a few rather overbearing Op`s can bitch about it.
