I picked up a new G-MAX yesterday,
DB was right its not a 5/8 over 1/4wave as advertised,
when tuned for 27.1-27.2mhz the lower radiator below the phasing coil is 147-1/4",
upper radiator is 251"

It is direct feed with no matching at the base, it does have a small 40uh choke to DC ground the radiator,

I remember Henry hpsd telling me his Highlander had a lower radiator that was longer than 1/4wave way before the G-MAX went on sale.
