Hello , first of all im new to this form, but i am chanceing my arm with a question,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,some months a friend went to the USA and got for me a brand new MFJ HF-VHFSWR Analyzer, Modle MFJ-259B.
The instruction manual that came with the unit is very brief and not really that helpful for a novice
Is there anybody out there who can direct me to a site , or book that can offer a more thorough and detailed guide to its operation

You might try posting your query in the Amateur Radio Antennas forum. You may get your answer there. I have one of those analyzers. If you post your query there, I would be pleased to answer any questions.Hello , first of all im new to this form, but i am chanceing my arm with a question,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,some months a friend went to the USA and got for me a brand new MFJ HF-VHFSWR Analyzer, Modle MFJ-259B.

Why not use a picture of the radio for sale and not some old ass black and white advertisement?
thats a black and white box, you can see the green price tag still stuck on the box (front, center upper/right) as well as the table top in the lower right corner. also there is a little damage to the cardboard box on the top right corner showing the brown carboard. if you click on the picture to enlarge it you can see the 3rd dimension of the top of the box.
looks valid to me. (or at least looks like a real box to me) *S*
No matter really, still not worth more than $85+ shipping.
