"You're supposed to tune to the TX stations frequency. If your radio is aligned, then your TX should match his"o_O

fourstring,

This is what we have been telling you all along,

unlocking the clarifier allows you to do what you just said we should be doing,  you do understand that part (y)

can you explain how it works when your radio is fixed on TX & you can only move your RX to his frequency ?

he can turn his clarifier to your TX frequency if he chooses,

what happens if he's a guy that ignores or chases away anybody returning to him that is not on his frequency ?:(

What happens when another station joins in the conversation,

which one of you does he tune to ?

Should he have to play twister with his vfo or clarifier in order to hear both of you comfortably ? :(

what about the other half dozen guys that join in,

3 of them have locked clarifiers & 3 have unlocked clarifiers, what happens then ? :(

the simple and only solution is for everybody to unlock their clarifiers so everybody is on the same frequency

just like every HF set out there :D

385 & 555 sound that way because of people with locked clarifiers,

it does not matter if the radio is not aligned at 12oclock on the clarifier or that it drifts with temperature so long as TX & RX track together.
