issue with output carrier in ssb mode

alc needle will not indicat audio output,mike gain not working,speech proccesor does nothing,tried other microphones , in cw mode putting out 100 watts,? anybody has any info on this issue?.

Obviously it is not getting any audio in the TX stage. There is no carrier on SSB. Power swings with audio.What kind of radio is it? Perhaps you simply have a setting wrong. Been there and done that before.

Or a newer rig with menus. It is possible with some rigs to switch where the audio comes from like the AUX port for digital comms which turns the mic input off.

there are so many mods for this rig, so that is hard to answer.

has the mod been done that allows the SSB output power and AM output to be controlled by the same pot been done? in stock form, they are two separate controls.

yes mod was done only cut diode d49

#1 Remove all glue from the circuit boards, as it has become conductive over time.
#2 Clean all board connectors/pins.

After that test it.
There are a lot of service bulletins on the net concerning this radio.
Can be a real stinker; but it is also a keeper if properly maintained . . .
