571A5FBD-23BF-45EF-BA34-FFF1D3ACE2DA.jpeg I did not clip this radio, just turned up VR4. This thing sounds great!
I’ve had a lot of the guys in our local group tell me it sounds like a tube radio, which most of us run. (Brownings, Sonars, Trams etc)
After hearing my son on it I was blown away.
Totally not kidding, this thing sounds better than my Taiwan and Philippine 29’s. (And they sound very good) very impressed with my first Chinese Cobra. Will it last as long as my original 29’s or tube radios which still work perfectly? Probably not but that’s ok.

Not knowing the history of that radio or what's been done to it you might have gotten lucky and bumped VR4 up just enough. Not sure what mic you are running but that can make all the difference in the world.
