No idea if they work or not. Gamble.
142 bucks. Not sure I did so hot this time. That's 71 bucks apiece which probably wasn't the savings I initially would have realised .... stupid bidding some guy kept entering bid after bid so I slapped in a stupid number and wound up holding the bag when he dropped it on my head lol. The 2+ looks rebuilt. And probably not too well as looks like they lost the PTT lock somehow along with replacing the cord, battery connection and whatever else they've done. If they jacked it up I'll throw a condenser upgrade kit in and repaint it in a nice hammer finish period correct color and have a retro LOOKING modern mic. The +3 looks pretty good. Comments, including caustic, accepted regarding wisdom or absolute idiocy of purchase.

Nice score! We had some fun a while back with some microphones. Maybe this will give you some ideas if you need to rebuild one of those.

Sweet that's right up the street I was thinking if the one or God forbid both are no good. I love the +3 sound but the +2 has that early jet age look I love.

We've all got caught up in a bidding war at one time or another. Bottom line is if it's something you want and get it that's a plus. I can't count the number of times I've walked away from something and changed my mind, went back for it and it was gone.
So good for you, and, Turner mics are among the best. I seem to always gravitate back to them. When talking locally the group can call out the times I'm not on the Turner.
I like the space age look of the SSB+ as well.

Great score ! I run a Turner CS-1 which is the exact same as the +3 but with an extra wire in the cable and gold finish instead of grey. Hands down the best sounding mic for SSB ever made.
I've used mine on a '97 Cobra 148GTL, a Courier 40D, a 457, a 458, and now on my Kenwood TS140S. All sounded amazing with the Turner mic.

I do already enjoy a plus 3 in daily use but stocking up for overseas retirement.
Hope this gamble pays off lol.

Wow. Think I lost money on this deal.
The plus 3 is dead (tear into it later) the plus 2 works but switch springs are weak and lock lever AWOL but it does work.
I already ordered some of those AGC mic boards so guess the Plus 3 will be the victim lol. Deff spent too much for what I got. Whoopsie.

Bad news. I've managed to repair both the turner +2 and +3. Some fool had no concept of how to solder.....now I need a new basket case for those mic auto gain doo wops I ordered. I won't butcher classic gear that works well lol.

You got a sadelta in there too! I've never owned one but have heard many a war stories about the sadelta. Does that sadelta play well with your radios?

It does. I swapped the internal echo speed adjustment pot for an external one - a popular mod back in the day. It has a double famous sadelta beep the knock off Galaxy trading on its me too looks only has a single beep. It's a condenser mic so works great with pretty much everything.

If I had a dollar for every time I'd done that I would have spent that money, too.
