OK, I locked the keys in the truck, while trying to get it unlocked, I snapped the ground wire coming from the camper shell to the puck mount bolts. Thought it wouldnʻt matter. I was driving to work keyed up w/amp on going 50mph, I saw the MPH slamm to 85mph when modulating. Anyways check out the vids. I took it @ work w/key on. Key off it doesnt do anything.

Ground issues/stray RF etc.???????

 I didnt turn off the vid. It was 22 mins long.

Here it is. its 10min but just watch the 1-2min portion. Sorry

It's definitely a rf bonding issue, just run a short flat piece of braided strap from the antenna mount to the nearest substantial piece of metal on the camper shell and then do the same at multiple points along the pickup bed where the shell mounts that way you'll always have a path to ground.

Dat's one cool watt meter, brudda!
Check you coax route, I had similar problems. When running power, I would turn on dash & parking lights. Ground check would be in order as well.

While talkin to some guy he says hey fella what am I givin ya on that S-meter of yours?? The guy on the other end says oohh about S-5 he says S-5!!! what the hell Im givin ya 60 MPH here buddy!!!

Sorry forgotabout this one. I had a loose ground wire @ the batt terminal. its the screw on kind. Mustve work loose when I last jumped started the truck.
