ok your good to go with that cap you got, put it in. I don't know about the paper cap your referring too, I have never seen it in person, but if you look at the circuit, one side of it goes to ground and the other side goes to B+. With the radio turned off and discharged, use a volt meter on continuity and touch one lead to ground and the other to one of either side of the cap legs and whichever one beeps, there is your ground and the other one is positive.
