Pick one of these today. It says 250-0733-001. Made by E.F. JOHNSON CO. WASECA. M.N. 450-470 MHz to30-50 MHz CONVERTER. 150-174 MHz and 30-50 MHz PRE-AMP.Anyone have any INFO. on this unit:confused1: 73s.

That has got to be something like 30 - 40 years old. Probably designed for use with the E.F.J. line of radios. I don't know anything specifically about them. Probably worth something to collectors, but that's about it.

Thanks for some INFO. on this unit:cool:If this is 30 or 40 years i cant beleave it:confused1:It is in very good shape. I myself would give it a 10 out of 10. Thanks DOC. 73s.;)

Took it a part to clean the board.Everything looked fine no burns or anything like that. I did find one crystal i think it was 105.000 if that means anything:confused1: 73s

EF Johnson made stuff back in the 50/60`s, And I know they made some converters to go from UHF TV to VHF
Like the Johnson 158, UHF Converter,
Converts any US standard UHF channel into VHF channel 4 - 5 or 6.
That one seems to bring UHF down to 30 to 50 MHz...and has a pre amp i guess.....just have to dig around on-line and see if you can find any info.
