JT-65

I've been playing around with JT65-HF for a little over a week now. It's very similar to WSPR. I've made a few contacts, but mainly use it to check propagation. Yesterday afternoon I rode the gray line from Washington State into Bulgaria and made contact with LZ2STO at 23:14z on 20m. I was running 10 watts and got a -09 report. I guess that's not too bad working a Cushcraft R6000 vertical at 25 feet.

JT65

It is easy as stated, try it on 15 meters 21.075, I worked 51 countries in 2 weeks running 20w to a homemade inv at 22 feet.

I haven't worked any digital modes in years so I ordered the Signalink USB yesterday. I may give this a try...from what I've read about it JT65 is somewhere between "ok" and being as interesting as watching grass grow. We'll see.

I tried JT-65 a while back, but the software couldn't control the Elecraft K3 at the time. I'll download it again and give it a try to see if it works now!

There's not a lot to it - just point and click...lol. I mainly use it to check propagation. Sometimes I'll throw a CQ out or respond to a call, but it can get boring after awhile.

I just checked my inbox over at eqsl and I got my confirmation from Stan, LZ2STO. Yes, I blocked out my call. The way some of you guys are around here I keep it on a "need to know" basis...
