whats ya'lls opinions on this rig?? I am loving the rx, and tx is a beast from the reports I am getting. .5-18w on dk and 120w pep.

when they make a Sideband model Ill be able to comment I dont think they can make one so I am at a loss Ive waited 2 years for a SSB model to try but nope I guess if they dont Know anything about SSB AM FM is the best to stay with though instead of pretending like some of the one hit wonder companies did. From what Ive heard them radios are well built and I think Ive only actually seen one person myself that wasnt happy but that was due to other issues. They say there ROCK SOLID.
ill ive seen is that the standard verson's amp boards have not very reliable around here for some reason, at first i thought the couple that went were because of a bad antenna match but when i checked there antenna's they were 1.2/1 so it should be well within the limits. they are pretty easy to see at night though for what little i used of one. those were not the duel pattern radios so they were real early models, hopefully any problems are taken care of now.
anyone know what the output board on of those sr440's cost now? or where i could get one (or have 1 guy get one from)

So far, other than a couple minor issues with the antenna connection coming loose on a couple, I've had nothing but good reports. I keep selling out of these things, both the 440 and 490.
Just got mine, I'm gonna hook it up tonight and try it out. I'll post reports on the radio later.
