Because the media are buzzards and Whitney "crack is whack" Houston is fresh meat. So now they'll be distracted acting as if her death from decades of drug and alcohol abuse is some mysterious tragedy. it's pathetic and it's irritating to see 24/7 coverage of such a meaningless event.
People like her should not be allowed to breed let alone raise children already birthed because addiction like sexual preference is not genetic nor a disease nor an instinct brought about by evolution.
Addiction is a learned behavior like homosexuality and as much help and advice and credible scientific proof showing this and people still practice this behavior and not expect bad results then they reap what they sow.
Whitney Houston died because she failed to accept that her life had become unmanageable which in itself is denial and for that she died and no one can blame Bobby for that because he did realize his mistakes and took steps to correct/better his behavior and is still breathing on this earth tonight.
That military guy died because he believed in his mission in life which led him to the military and to defend his country and what that stood for and he should be commended and I salute his courage and mourn his loss for he is a true hero and Whitney was nothing but someone who had a lot to live for and for whatever reason lapsed into a mental state that took her down that path and unlike millions of others with the same lapse of good mental judgement died for that and should not be placed on a pedestal as an example of what a good and decent person should be measured by.
Sorry she had to go this way but that's that and that's all that is.

It's not her fault she was addicted to cocaine. It is someone else's fault. Someone was obviously forcing her to snort those rails. Someone made her inhale that smokey white devil. She didn't want to live the life of a rock star for all those years.
Instead of the media fake mourning her death they should be sending a message to the youth that this could be you. Drowned, soaking in her own filth. History repeating itself. They'll be someone else next year.
There should be a segment at the end of each local and national news every day, of the soldiers lost and the ones they left behind. Maybe it'd bring things into perspective for those that can't grasp the concept of the reality of combat and being a soldier fighting for your...our country.
