Justified shooting???

From what I can see, no. Unless the car was being driven towards the officer in an attempt to run her over or with intent to injure someone else then her life was not in danger and she posed more of a danger to the public than the guy did. I think she was pissed about being stupid enough to have her car stolen.

No, it was too late already. She should have taken her keys with her to begin with.

Back in the early '80's i used to ride with my cousin on patrol (he was in law enforcement all his life and retired as a detective) in a large city which will remain unnamed.

He chased a suspected stabber into an abandoned projects building, he took his car keys with him but pulled his shot gun key off the ring and handed it to me.

I wish the officer in the video the best of luck and hope that this will be a learning experience for her.

p.s. my cus pulled the guy out of the building in cuffs a few minutes later.

also training is important we used to run alot of miles, do karate, and lifted alot of weights.

I agree with both of you, there was nothing happening at that point that required deadly force, at that point it was theft of a vehicle and her life was not in danger.
