QRL? QRL?

the KP5,..... oops,... the K5D operator needs to listen on his split RX freq (yes , i have contacted him and told him so) and find a clear freq.

the responding operators that are operating split need to LISTEN on their TRANSMIT freq first:mad:

there is a group of us that were actively using 14.233 and the split ops 1 kc up caused some of us to actually have to use our amps @ QRO levels to maintain our ongoing QSO's:headbang. then the KP5 had to move up the band in order to hear.

no, a dxpedition does not "own" a frequency. what part of QRL do they not understand:(

If the dxpedition was operating on or very near 14.233 then that is VERY bad practice. Everyone knows that 14.230 is the analog SSTV freq and 14.233 is the digital SSTV calling freq. He should have been in the 14.190-200 window and listening UP 10-20 KHz. BTW did you hear the guy operating K5D the other night that everyone was complaining about? He was only working about two contacts a minute and everyone was pissed that he was taking so long.

i think he was trying to get into the general part of the fone band for u.s. amateurs

lol...... that must be what the thread on that "other" forum is all about,..... the one about the K5D imposter:blink::blink:
