As most know we sold our old house and moved. The heat and air unit at the old house had no issues other than being old and obsolete, I was given a quote of $6500 to replace the complete unit when the time came. I made the comment that I hoped to move before we had to replace it, and luckily we did. We had an issue with the heat and air unit at the new house in the dead of winter, luckily it was an easy fix. So this is where Karma showed up last week, The heat and air unit quit working 2 days before I got home from work, temps were in the high 90s . The unit was 9yrs old, already had an issue back in the winter, they said they could put a new compressor on it for $2100. I thought $2100 was an awful expensive band aid, and I would always wonder when it would quit again, so I ask how much it would cost to replace the complete setup. Hello!! KARMA!!!, their quote was $6700. I kinda chuckled and told them replace everything. Lol! Sometimes ya just gotta laugh and just go with it, the wife wasn't laughing, she was wanting new floors, now she's gonna have to wait a little longer.

Seems like some days a man just can't win for losing. Such is life I guess. Was going to quote your signature here but I don't speak French.

Lot of folks pulling for you here Wally.........

Like the old slogan went: "Pay me now or pay me later".

Not so much karma as Murphy, I'd say.

Karma, Murphy, or just my luck, anyway you want to look at it, they all seem to bite me on the butt at sometime or another. It is what it is. At least this new unit seems to be working wonderfully, and its much quieter than the old one.

Well talk about Karma this new system we put in works great.... BUT on 20 meters with running my amp it gets into the damn smart thermostat. Only on 20 meters and of course thats where most of my DX talking is done lol. So now waiting on a torroid and hope theres enough control wire to wind for a choke lol. I put a 12 turn air choke at the feed point but still got this RFI going on.
