i noticed my galaxy was getting a bit warm on that little heatsink during EXXTENDED keydowns ("CQ CQ CQ DX 202 CONNECTICUT IS TRYIN'") So i put this little device together and the fan direction is drawing heat away from it not blowing on it. which i hear works better. im thinking of putting a little more ducting on it but this works for now. i always had one on but it was jerry rigged on with Tape i kno really dumb but it worked so now i made it more official.
IM open to any suggestions to make this work better. and if anyone knows where i can get a constant 12volt source from inside the radio let me kno cuz id like to run the wire into the radio instead of to a lil 12volt wall adapter.

if your wondering "what are those knobs"
top one - clarifier, i burned out the pot on the stock one when i tried to do it myself and the tech didnt have one(its a weird one that ranger makes specific for this radio and i didnt wanna spend any more money)
Bottom one - EXTRA CHANNELS!!! :-D

You should be able to get 12V at the on and off Switch.Just take a Volt meter and check to see if you have 12V their. What I also do is put a thermal switch hooked to the fan so it comes on when the radio gets hot and shuts off after it cools down just a thought.
