Does the mod listed on DK's site for general coverage include 11 meters? Have a chance to pick one up with a power supply for $300. Wanting to make sure it was convertible.

Thanks

Hi Fast Eddy. That is the same mod I found in my ArtSci modification book and it is supposed to open the radio up to enable TX from .5-30 MHz. I have talked to TS-140 radios on 11 meters before so that mod must be the one.

Thanks Garth, I thought $300 for a 140 and matching supply was a pretty decent deal. Now I have to cinvince the wife hehehe.......<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)">

Coax question. I just put up a new Sirio monsoon base antenna with 100’ of rg8u coax testing with myMFJ antenna analyzer shows 1.4 swr at 26.965mhz and a 1.1 at 27.405 mhz . When I checked the ohms it’s steady a 30 ohms across the entire bandwidth.

Is 30 ohms worth worrying about in a 100’ run of rg8u ?
