When and where does everyone normally hang out? For myself I can be found on 15, 17 and 20 mostly in the evening around 5pm cst. On the weekends its hit or miss.

What I am proposing is maybe try to have a group contact, band conditions notwithstanding, with the hams on this site. What band would be best? I am thinking 20 but open to other options. 10 is dead here most of the time as it 15. 17 is active during the day but by the time I am on it's fading. So for that reason I think a weekend day, early afternoon'ish might work.

Open to hearing other thoughts.

We have done this on this forum several times over the last few years. Sometimes it is on 10m or 20m. Or even on the freeband. But it does happen most often this time of year since skip conditions are best.

Pick a freq/mode and let us know . . .

Most of the time 10 meters is dead quiet most all the time, when it is open I hear our little brown buddies from south of the border

I hold a general class ticket,I am game for any band 80 meters and up

no antenna for 160

weekend works best for me

Yes 10 is dead here most of the time so using that might be a stretch. For those that can only use 10 I would be more then happy to try a contact there sometime though.
