Options I am pondering are:

RM KL503 1 driving 8 irf520 fet
RM KL7505 4 x 455
Palomar 225 2 x 455
Tornado 225 Plus 2 x SD1446
Rocket Box 250 2 x Palomar 9530 fet

All are below $200 at this point
The RM 503 is $159 new
The RM 7505 is $200 new
The Rocket Box 250 is new for $170
The others are all $150 or so used..

I'd consider a TS250 or 350 or TNT as well but $300 is out of reach.

Currently running the RM 203 which pushes just over 100w and about 120w on SSB..

The Rocket Box says 2-8w dk max and max of 25w pep swing.. 9530 is rated 100w with 25w input from what I read..

The 7505 does 200 with like 8w.. and with 17w shows 250w on the chart.. claim is 360w on SSB.

Radio can go from 1-12w dk, however at like 9w dk or higher swings to 25-30w.. at 1.5 it seems to stay around 7-8w with swing.

I want to get closer to 200 on AM and possibly 300 on SSB..

The RM KL-505 is nice and I can get new for $295. Takes a higher 15w AM input and upto 30w for SSB. Uses 4x 455 as well. Says 300w AM and 600w SSB for PEP.. guessing wi actually do maybe 225 AM and maybe 300-325 for SSB..

No I dont but if you want an amp that will actually make a difference on your signal, very clean, hard to over drive and will last forever this is your best option. Feed your 757 or Alinco into it and you will have a ssb signal that you will love.

The RM KL7505 is likely a real amp. It appears to be a real SSB capable amp.
It has an inhibitor so it doesn't work on CB so it needs to be modified.

But the AL-811 is nice too :)

I noticed the 7505 and 505 are both 4x MRF-455 units..

Yes the 7505 is FCC certified and needs to be modded to get to 11m and has the typical 3 position hi/med/low. Runs $200 from DNJ

The 505v (with fan) is just wide banded with 6 position switch.. nothing really happens to setting 3-4 on them.. and runs $295 shipped..

I found 0 videos on the 7505 and about 3 on the 505..

I'd get the 503, but thats a 1 driving 8.. and I don't think the linear will get to 225w like the 7505 or 505 without stressing the irf520 driver..
