This past Saturday (8/25/12) a bunch of the local hams that hang out on the N6HOG 2 meter repeater got together for a BBQ in the park. Other than eating and drinking, activities included lessons on how to build your own tape measure 2 meter yagi and a T-Hunting lesson. Here are a few pics:

There were probably 40 people or so there:

Lots of BBQ:

Plenty of food and drink:

There was NO alcohol allowed in the park, LMAO

A lesson on building a tape measure 2 meter yagi:

Step attenuator and radio attached, ready for T-hunting:

Arrow 2m yagi antenna:

And various other 2m antennas:

Lastly, a 50/50 drawing was held by Mark / Acidrod, and a kid pulled out our very own Crash_Ash's ticket for the $120 win. The other 1/2 went to the repeater fund:

Not a bad day at the park!

I'm sure many who listen to "the notorious 450" on one of the numerous feeds available were probably wringing their hands waiting to hear reports of beat downs and stabbings... The repeater members may play rough, they're a bunch of good hearted pussy cats in person.

Great repeater for any of you So Cal readers. Good coverage off Sierra Peak/Corona. 146.415 in / 147.450 out PL127.3 Very entertaining!

Mark and Tim are right. A good bunch of guy's and gal's there. On the air it's a free for all, but in the field it's really a good goup of people. Winning the 50/50 wasn't bad either. Paid for my tank of gas getting there.
