does anybody know where you can buy this part to cover the channel display to digital readout ?? thanks

That's an OLED display panel, probably a 0.96 inch one. Also requires logic behind it to get the display you're seeing in that picture. Could be an arduino or STM32 board doing that duty.

I can't tell from this picture, but the installer may have swapped out the original channel selector with an optical encoder. Apparently those are easier to work with for some folks.

Don't know if anyone is selling those as kits to install in your radio, but all the parts are available online. You'll have to a little bit (or a lot) of programming to get it working together.

Oh, and soldering. Lots of soldering.

    Coax question. I just put up a new Sirio monsoon base antenna with 100’ of rg8u coax testing with myMFJ antenna analyzer shows 1.4 swr at 26.965mhz and a 1.1 at 27.405 mhz . When I checked the ohms it’s steady a 30 ohms across the entire bandwidth.
