Crap, my buddies roof is pleated on his truck . How or were can you mount a mag mount on a rippled roof. We might be able to fit it were it flattens out a little in front of rear. What location would be better ? Thanks guys

Ok so 5 in mount probably a no go but a lil will mag would fit ok in between the ripples. Are they ok ?

For what they are the Lil Will is decent, won't perform as good as a larger antenna but if that's all that will work then go with it.

If a single 5" mag base won't fit how will three of them possibly fit?

Brittle as are those magnets, there’s bound to be a way to cut-to-fit. Even if I have to glue pieces of same to the modified backing shell.

An NMO Mount sure looks better, right?

Count the number of sheet-metal penetrations from factory.
Two dozen, or is is it three dozen?

I have several mag-mounts. Possession is — if nothing else — adaptation to circumstance even when a proper antenna vehicle-mount is installed.

Might need to set up a cookie-sheet antenna with a Little Wil someday.
Hang it out over the gate to the moat bridge after grid-down gets underway in earnest:

I have the same issue on my hhr. Since its all mine if I decide to put a radio in it ill probably puck it. I like the idea of swapping out the larger magnets for smaller. Ill have to try that.

Hahaha, thanks for reminding me, had the same problem, thought I'd make my own, bought some aluminium plate and 4 rare earth magnets off eBay, but which ones, awww heck go for the strongest. I'll test on the refrigerator first thought I.
The thing snapped to the door like a hungry crocodile's jaw, lucky I didn't lose finger tips, and I couldn't get the damn thing back off. Had to use a pry bar and wooden blocks to work it off.
Needless to say I never used it in the car.
Other half was not happy with gouges in the refrigerator door, so new one was procured.
Very expensive mag mount...
