magnum 257hp issues

Have had my 257 for a couple of months now and have not used it all that much. All that is done to it is the channel mod to open it up and slightly turning up the pot in the mic for more modulation. I went to use it today and have found the following. Radio will not key up and is stuck on 27.950 Mhz AM and nothing I can do will change this. I tried doing a reset along with moving the jumper positions with a reset with no help. on any setting other than Comm3 the radio lights up the display with solid 8's in all numeral displays and makes a constant beeping like a button is being pressed but all buttons seem fine. I have hooked up my old 148 to be able to stay on but it just isn't the same and due to work I can't get to my tech until Saturday evening. Any ideas are welcomed. I'm not extremely knowledgeable on this radio other than what I can find online and don't want to muck it up.:sad:

Call up Sam Lewis @ RF Limited and he will give you the info to send it to an authorized repair station.

They do take care of their product.

Thanks Robb it has been shipped out and I am amazed at the level of professionalism that was given to me along with the statement of we will make this right or send you a new radio or refund. They are already paying the shipping! Many may bash Magnum radios but after this experience I won't buy anything else.

I have to say new or used Magnum radios are the greatest and service is second to none, Sam Lewis sure does a Great Job
