Hi guys I have some newb questions about the new magnum raptor. To mod the frequency you just move the jumper pin over correct? And then when the radio is in 240 channel mode does that cover the cb bands?
If the jumper is in the original position it should be on 11 meter or CB. The channels will be 1 thru 40 on band "D". All the other bands are below or above the normal CB channels. You probably wont find much on these other bands. Im here in El Paso, Tx. and find some using "C" but limited and from Mexico. Moving the jumper will convert you to 10 meter only and on band "A". the remaining bands then become a programmable memory for youre favorite 10 meter channels only. You can look up the frequency charts online and find the actual frequencies you can select from CB 240 channel or 10 meter.
Aside from this thread being a year old, Some of the latest model`s have done away with the jumpers, and require you to solder the connections to convert these radios.
If you use the search feature at the top of the page there is a couple of threads here on the forum talking about how the conversions have changed.
I was look'n your way Evan...was working on some lighting in the garage...you were just "Thr" but w/ fade...you were gone...so did not fire the heater and call
