i have a Magnume S-3200B second generation and totaly love it. it does not have a lot of gimmics bells and whistles but it is a great reliable talker. has all that you need to talk Dx and local right along side the RCI 2990's. 8 bands of frequencies, am,fm&ssb. has a jack in the back to add a frequency counter like the Galaxy 347 to give you continuos read out well laid out and well marked with tight controls and a great feature with the coarse and fine clarifier for ssb. has a nice meter that functions well with tasteful mode lights. have mine set at a 2.50 watt dead key and swing to about 20 watts to run with my tube amp. using a D104 silver eagle on it and get great reports on am as well as ssb. have heard guys i have talk to out in DX land say after they finished talking to me that that was a fine sounding radio one guy said he had one an after he heard mine was sorry he got rid of it. i do think the first generation ones that came out had some problems that have long been corrected. also i think they have come out with an 80 watt version now. i gotta tell you this radio talks right along with the cobra 2000's Rci 2990's and some of the other top line radios out there. i personal took a chance on it as to not use my classic tube stuff all the time as well as my other classic solid state stuff a radio is on 24/7 here. but much to my suprise this little radio smoooooooookes !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. i think is is the most underated under advertised radio of all time and i have been in cb radio sence 1972. for under $300.00 you won't go wrong. a great talker on ssb & am. it does have a little drift till it settles down after about being on 15 minutes but it's not much. i think i might do a little experiment and tempoarily remove the amc just to see what it might sound like. but i tell you, you will truly love this radio.
