Here's some info on the settings for the 857D you may find useful...
The MFJ mic may be OK for you but pay attention to the details as some of the button controls ONLY work with Kenwood rigs...
The MD100 A8X mic may be fine for you, just did not suit me. It does have some nice control features for operating the rig.
Again microphones are a personal preference "thingy"....
