MFJ-929 Auto Tuner


Yes, I was planning on letting it go bye bye.

The KT-100 is a nice little tuner. I wish it had the dual antenna ports with antenna switch like the other LDG tuners have.
 
Im wondering if that would work with other radios with the propper interfce cable. I was thinking if it would work with my wifes Yaesu FT-857D.As far as I thought the only difference between the Y K and I models was which interface cable they came with (Y) Yaesu (K) Kenwood and (I) Icom meant that was the interface cable that was included.
 
Got my tuner today.

First thing I noticed was a big ass scratch on the case from someone trying to put a case cover screw in. The chassis hole isn't lined up so the screw just slipped and scratched the case. They didn't even try to fix it. They just left the screw out. I sent an email support ticket asking for a new replacement cover and screw.

As far as operation, this thing doesn't mess around. It tunes extremely fast and matches areas that my KT-100 would puke on. The PCB looks good. All components actually looked like someone cared when they assembled it.

So far, I am very satisfied with it.
