Moxon. It's essentially a simple but effective 2 element beam.What is that antenna called
It’s a MFJ-1890 Moxon beam. 12’ wide and 55” boom. It is for 10 meters but can be adjusted for 11 meters. I’ve got it adjusted for 10 meters.
I’ve got a rotor for it but too lazy thus far to hook it up. I’ve got vice grips on the mast pipe. I just turn it where the DX is coming from.
I'm looking at a beam from Cooper Electronics I think it's called the Shooting Star, but it has to wait until I get out of this Stinking valley and town. Of coarse I'll probably will need a tower and rotor to go with it. Hope I'm not to old by the time I get out of here and have no one to help erect it. Old age isn't gentle on the Bod !
