Looks as Midlands Days in CB's are getting numbered they have discontinued majority of their models. Only have 3 left.
79-290 was one of them to be discontinued.

Noisy receive, removeable faceplate broke pretty easily . . . . not cheap either.

It was pretty though . . .

- proper grounding and shielding cleans up most of that
- never experienced a front panel problem yet and it's been years in daily use
- peaks and channel mods easily
- outputs higher PEP than many others try to
- SMT components lend a high degree of reliability
